Happy Birthday, Bob Dylan

Happy 71st, Bob Dylan! Hope you’re not as bored as you were during filming for Warhol’s “Screen Test” – a project he and assistant Gerard Malanga executed between 1964 and 1966 with a 16mm Bolex camera. The result was a collection of 472 short films of people who stopped by the “Factory” on East 47th.

Apparently, shortly after this was filmed, Dylan and Bob Neuwirth strapped Warhol’s Double Elvis(Dylan’s compensation for humoring Warhol) to the roof of a station wagon and headed out (more on that, and the rest of the day, here).
