Armory Arts 2012

My, what a lot of art you’ve got! Saturday found me happily lost in the maze of pop-up galleries on Piers 92 and 94 in NYC. Whatever you’ve heard about The Armory Art Show… it’s Even Better. Pier 92 was decked out in Picassos, Degas, VIP reception areas, and art dealers dressed to the nines.

deal me some art.

Since our art budgets aren’t into six figures yet, my loyal art companion and I decided to tackle Pier 94 first. Pier 94 was an absolute sea of contemporary art (check out the monster exhibitor list here). We got our bearings with the rest of the throng around a well-placed champagne bar the size of several tractor-trailers.

Then we took a deep breath and dove on in. Check out a few of my favorite pieces below – click for a larger view.

  1. I wanted to go to this show, but couldn’t because of school. I hope not all the work was priced so high.
