Spreading Revolution

Spreading Revolution

This NYTimes feature is stunning.  Through photos, text, youtube videos, screenshots, and audio, Time correspondent  David D. Kirkpatrick calmly and plainly walks through six events over the last few weeks that catalyzed revolution.

Phrases that stuck with me:
Empathy with a sense of frustration and despair
A paranoid and brittle ruler
The people of Tunisia lost all fear
We are all Kahled Said
Stand up and withstand
The protestors still held the square
He cried, he recounted what he’d been through and his determination to keep up the fight
He addressed the crowd from a podium in the square and became a national hero
Unceremoniously ushered out of office by his top generals
